Bio

Described as a musician with fantastic vocal endurance and “Van Halen-channeling” guitar chops, Blake Jurasin captivates listeners’ ears with fast-paced, guitar-heavy rock music. With lyrical content ranging from every day frustrations; break-ups; the current state of the US; and risk-taking adventures, the “Who I Was” EP hints at punk rock’s “stick it to the man” attitude while also borrowing different musical grooves from various genres, including Blues and Jazz.

Blake, originating from Covington, Louisiana, is a Berklee College of Music graduate that now performs and teaches guitar in the Austin, Texas area. During the week, Blake teaches music lessons in the Lakeway, South Austin, and Manor areas. On the weekends, he either tours with award-winning rock band, Trashy Annie or plays shows local to Austin with The Levites, Bethany Becker, his own personal band, or Trashy Annie.

Blake's EP, “Who I Was,” launched his career as a performing guitarist and vocalist, both as a local musician to Austin and an internationally touring guitarist with Trashy Annie. Additionally, Blake co-produced and performed guitar and backing vocals on Bethany Becker's EP “If the Boot Fits," is a featured guitarist on Abundant Life Church's “Life in the Key of Worship,” will be featured on several songs on Trashy Annie's upcoming album “Let It Kill You,” and has recorded on multiple studio sessions. Over the last several years, Blake has performed at venues such as Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, Musikfest (Bethlehem PA), House of Blues Anaheim, Grapefest (Grapevine TX), Gas Monkey (Dallas TX), ACL 3Ten (Austin TX), Antones (Austin TX), Circus Mexicus 2024 (Puerto Peñasco, Mexico), Bitcoin Festival 2024, City Winery Nashville TX, City Winery Hudson Valley NY, as well as in smaller bars and clubs across the entirety of the US from Washington State down to California, all across the southern boarder of the United States, from Florida to New York.
